I believe that things have happened in our lives that can get in the way of our reaching our goals or feeling happy or satisfied. These experiences teach us who we are and what we are capable of and influence our thoughts about ourselves and the world, our physical experience of life, our behaviors, and our emotions.
We can trace the path these experiences have had in our lives through the choices we have made, how we respond to our lives and the people in them, and the relationships we form. While many of us may want things to be different we may not know how to effectively create lasting change in our lives and may find ourselves falling back into old habits that leave us feeling frustrated and stuck.I use various techniques grounded in theories about somatic (body based) processing, cognitive-behavioral therapy, attachment theory, and solution-focused (strengths based) therapy. Together we will look at those things that are impacting your life, decide what is working and what is not, and create new solutions and acquire new skills that will bring you the results you are looking for.
