We are all doing the best that we can. Even so, people sometimes get stuck in ruts that they find hard (or impossible) to climb out of. Therapy is a relationship just like any other, except its sole purpose is the client’s growth and healing. Good therapy is a place of safety, openness and collaboration. This place allows individuals to get in touch with their bodies, their emotions, their thoughts, and their behaviors in ways that facilitate and promote lasting change.
Together, we can look at what is and isn’t working in your life, and make a plan to help you create a more authentic, joy-filled life. You are the expert in your own life, and that is where we will start. My role is to provide you with the support, skills and knowledge that will take you to the next step. With focused intention and commitment, you can actually rewire your brain!
I provide therapy for individual adults, teens and children, as well as families. My practice incorporates feminist, narrative, attachment and psychodynamic therapies all framed by the latest neurobiological research. I use mindfulness techniques to help reduce stress, anxiety, and depression, and to integrate the mind with the body.
