Rates & Insurance
Psychotherapy rates are established using “Usual and Customary Charge” guidelines for the geographical area and the level of provider licensure. As independent practice owners, the providers at Bluestone set their own policies, rates and fees, so there is some variation between providers. All of our rates are in keeping with the rates charged by other private practitioners in our area. We accept cash, check, all major credit cards, and some PIP claims, and some insurance. Our services are also qualified medical services for Health Savings Accounts and Flexible Spending Accounts. GO TO our list of in-network health plans.
Are you moving away from your parents and coming to WA for school?
Are you relocating to a different part of the state?
It may not seem like it would but moving can complicate how you can receive health care, including mental health care, from a new home base. We felt it was important to provide the following information in an attempt to help you prepare for what such a move might mean for your medical insurance benefits.
This is simply some basic information. Please call your health plan and/or benefits manager to get information specific to your health plan and situation. Planning ahead can help prevent confusion and frustration when trying to access care from your new home. Here are some scenarios we have encountered and some suggestions for how you can plan ahead when relocating:
-
In school? Living in a different state from your parents?

Wondering how to get on or stay on a parent’s plan?
If a parent’s health insurance plan covers dependents, a child usually can be added to their plan and stay on it until the age of 26.

If you purchase your health insurance on your State’s marketplace:
If you purchase your health insurance in the individual marketplace, you will likely need to purchase a new plan. Individual market coverage is regulated by each state therefore a new plan is needed when you move from one state to another.
– It is important to report your move as soon as possible.
– You will find that premium prices and coverage can vary by zip code.

WE CAN HELP YOU GET WHERE YOU WANT TO BE USING YOUR HEALTH INSURANCE BENEFITS:
We know using insurance is important to some of our clients and we do our best to make that easy for them to do. Either before or during your first appointment, our billing professionals will call your insurance provider to verify your benefits so we can help you understand the fees that you are responsible for. We offer this service in the hopes it will help you know what to expect when you are receiving care from one of the clinicians here.
Most of us are in-network, preferred providers for the following health plans:
- Aetna
- Anthem Blue Cross
- Anthem Blue Cross/Blue Shield
- Blue Cross/Blue Shield FEP
- Cigna
- LifeWise
- First Choice
- Kaiser Permanente
- HMA
- Horizon Blue Cross
- Medicare
- Premera Blue Cross
- Regence Blue Shield
- Regence FEP
If you do not see your insurance plan named here, it does not necessarily mean we are not providers for them. With so many names now being used and plans changing as quickly and often as they do, it is impossible for us to keep this list consistently up to date. Even if we are not on your provider list, you can still see us by paying privately or by accessing your out-of-network benefits.
WE CURRENTLY DO NOT WORK WITH:
- AmBetter
- Molina
- Medicaid
- Apple Health
- Coordinated Care
- DSHS
- UBH Community Health Plans, or
- Value Options.
We are also not contracted for any work with Labor and Industries (L&I).
CANCELLATION POLICY
If you do not come to your scheduled appointment, and you have not given your provider 48 hours advance notice, you will be charged according to his or her cancellation policy. We know life throws us all surprises sometimes, so feel free to discuss the reason for your late cancellation with your provider. Each provider is free to make exceptions.
PLEASE NOTE: Bluestone is not in charge of deciding whether or not a no show or late cancellation fee will be assessed to you. As independent practitioners and practices, each clinician makes this decision. While a Bluestone staff member may contact you in regards to collecting a no show or late cancellation fee, that staff member is doing so at the direction of your clinician. Bluestone has no influence over a clinician’s decision to charge their fee or not. You are welcome to discuss the fee with your clinician. If there is a change made, your clinician will let us know and we will proceed accordingly.
