My approach to neuropsychological evaluation is grounded in collaboration, objectivity, and evidence-based care. I work closely with patients, their families, referring providers, and the broader treatment team to develop a comprehensive understanding of each individual’s cognitive, emotional, and functional strengths and challenges. Through the use of standardized, empirically supported assessment methods, I provide objective evaluations designed to clarify diagnoses, identify contributing factors, and guide meaningful treatment recommendations. My evaluations are tailored to answer specific clinical questions and support informed decision-making regarding treatment, daily functioning, safety, and long-term planning. Recommendations are individualized, research-informed, and developed in collaboration with the patient’s medical and behavioral health providers to ensure continuity of care and a coordinated treatment approach.
During her fellowship, Dr. Hamilton conducted neuropsychological evaluations with retired NFL players through the NFL Players Trust and Hoag Hospital and worked with older adults experiencing dementia or suspected dementia at a local neurology clinic. For the past six years, her clinical work has focused primarily on adults and older adults with histories of concussion, traumatic brain injury, stroke, Parkinson’s disease, suspected dementia, and adult ADHD.
