Meet Our Admin Team

emily at bluestone psychological Emily Peterson, Administrative Assistant

As an intake coordinator, one of my favorite parts of my day is interacting with our fantastic clients. I love getting to know each and every person I interact with, and it brings me great joy to know I’m supporting people who are reaching out for help. Mental health has always been something I’ve felt very passionate about, and I am grateful for the opportunity to be a part of the journey into supporting mental health for each of our clients.

I graduated from Washington State University in 2022 with a BS in Psychology with minors in Sociology and Women’s Studies. I have worked in the mental health field since October of 2022, beginning at Seattle Children’s Hospital in the Psychiatry and Behavioral Medicine unit. I came to Bluestone in May of 2023. I am proud to be starting the Masters in Counseling program at Oregon State University in 2025 and becoming a therapist, with a focus of working with queer youth.

rachel at bluestone psychological Rachel Leckenby, Billing Manager

Insurance can be complicated, and I am here to help you understand your insurance benefits and advocate for your needs so you can get the best possible care. I chose Bluestone because I believe in our mission, to bring hope and healing to those suffering within our community. My goal is to make it easy for people in our community to access compassionate, professional help as we all face challenges in our lives. Bluestone’s values of Hope, Honor and Honesty resonated with me personally as a mom of 2 amazing boys. I strive to instill these values in my children, and I am glad that I am able to continue to honor those values professionally.

After completing my training in Medical Coding and Billing, I was able to combine my extensive background in Operations Management with Medical Billing and Revenue Cycle Management. My role as the Operations and Billing Manager is to collaborate with our providers and staff to ensure that we are delivering the highest quality patient care while fostering a culture of community.

salicido at bluestone psychological Vincent Salcido, Intake Coordinator

It takes courage and strength to reach out and ask for help. Every person is unique. As the Intake Coordinator at Bluestone, I am committed to getting members of our community connected with mental health services that are a good fit for their individual needs. I will do my best to offer assistance in a setting that is non-judgmental, supportive throughout the process, and empathetic. It is a joy to be part of a group where it feels like all of our professional providers are like-minded in their dedication to their practice and the clients they work with.

I have over five years of experience working in mental health administration, and have always had a heart for the emotional well-being of those around me, finding it an honor to get to share this small part of their mental health journey with them. I look forward to connecting and seeing how I can be of help!

Debbie Webb, Operations Manager

I am so pleased to have joined Bluestone Psychological Services as the Operations Manager. My background in psychology, including both undergraduate and master’s studies in counseling, has instilled in me the profound importance of helping individuals heal, grow, and lead fulfilling lives.

I bring extensive experience in business operations and over two decades in Human Resources. This includes my recent work focused on care coordination for behavioral health practitioners. Bluestone’s mission of Hope, Honor, and Honesty, and its commitment to providing hope and healing within our community, deeply resonate with my personal values.

In this new role, I will be working closely with our providers and staff to ensure the consistent delivery of the highest quality of patient care.

Bluestone Psychological History and Misson

We Opened Our Doors in 2012…

…with the mission to bring hope and healing to those suffering within our community.

To serve our mission, Bluestone responds to two community needs:

  1. To make it easy for people in our community to access compassionate, professional help as they face challenges in their lives   AND
  2. To create a place where a diverse community of highly skilled providers can come together to answer their call to help others. With this in mind, we listened and responded to what would simplify a person’s access to help – our concept of The Power of One.

With the Power of One, you can begin your search and journey:

  • One Website gives you information about multiple, independent practitioners offering a wide variety of evidence-based and holistic mental health care.
  • One phone number or email address begins the conversation to see if any one of us is a good fit for you.
  • One location is where you can find access to counseling for yourself, your teen, your aging parent, or your relationship. If you’re interested, you can also access specialists and get your questions answered about treatment involving conventional mental health medications as well as complementary approaches to mental health care and wellness. Having naturopathic and certified yoga therapy options also available enables Bluestone to offer a Whole Person Health approach to mental healthcare.

Each clinical member at Bluestone is an independent practitioner. This means each provider sets his/her own fees and policies and is wholly responsible for their own clinical work. While providers may refer to one another and work together on some cases, none holds any responsibility or control over the other’s work.

Bluestone provides practice management services to each provider only. This means it manages bookkeeping, appointment scheduling, medical billing, professional office space, and marketing on the behalf of the providers who contract with it. Bluestone has no influence or control over any provider’s policies or procedures, clinical work or record keeping, or schedule.

Our Values

While we are each practicing independently at Bluestone, we do share a common purpose of working together to bring you the results you are looking for. We share the values of Hope, Honesty and Honor:

Hope:

To the question we are often asked, “Can this ever get better?” we all answer a resounding, “YES!” Each of us deeply believes that people and lives can get better. When partnered with a caring and skilled clinician who can balance support with the challenge to move toward change, a motivated person can overcome their struggles and create a meaningful and fulfilling life. We know that with commitment to any changes made, your life can be different.

Honor:

We believe that every human being is going through life with a desire to be happy and that a happy life can be defined or lived out in any myriad of ways. No matter who you are, what you’ve been through, questions you have, or where you come from, you will be treated with dignity and respect by everyone at Bluestone.

Honesty:

We will tell you what our professional training informs us is important for you to hear, even if it isn’t what you want to hear.

We know our skills and strengths and we don’t pretend to be something we are not. We will tell you if we are not the best place to meet your needs and we will make every effort to assist you in finding the help you are looking for.  We are invested in your getting the help you are looking for, not that you get help from us.

Community Giving
Our mission is to bring HOPE and HEALING to those suffering in our community. While we specialize in alleviating emotional pain, we know there are more causes of pain and suffering beyond that. As such, to really serve our mission, we must think beyond our doors and reach out to our community in other ways as well. We know we cannot do it all ourselves and so we have made annual financial donations to these organizations to assist them in the powerful work they do.
We selected only 3 groups so that we could concentrate our giving and make the biggest impact possible. We selected these 3 groups because, like us, they strive to serve the widest range of people they can without compromising the quality of their services.
  • The Edmonds Food Bank: Food security is a basic human need. Without it, we cannot be mentally, emotionally or physically healthy. Located in downtown Edmonds, on the bus line and with ample free parking, it is easy for anyone in our area to find and access. Year after year, they distribute over 2 million pounds of food to families, children and seniors experiencing food insecurity in Edmonds. Of particular importance to Bluestone is their ability to fill the gaps created when meal services for children and families cease as school meal programs are not available during holidays and summer break.
  • Edmonds Boys & Girls Club: Having a safe place to support us as we raise our children makes all the difference for children and for their parents. During COVID, this was one of the few facilities that remained open, providing childcare and access to the internet, computers, and tutoring for those in need. Imagine was a relief that must have been for our essential workers and so many others during that time! They also run some of the most affordable and inclusive sports programs in the area so everyone has the opportunity to experience being on a team and develop their potential. We feel an affinity with their dedication to inclusivity and service, no matter who you are or what you are dealing with.
  • Homage Senior and Disabled Services: Human beings do not typically do well in isolation and yet, that’s exactly what happens to many of our seniors and disabled neighbors. We all need someone to talk to and we all need help at times. But, we don’t all have a friend, sibling or child to call when we’re lonely, to help unclog a drain, to take us to an appointment, or help us find a resource we need. By supporting Homage, we are able to support their programming, such as their support groups for low-income individuals coping with anxiety and depression and their in-person aging and disability support resource specialists.
