What is an integrative care approach to mental health?
Integrative Mental Health Care is a holistic, mind-body-spirit approach to your mental health and well-being. Our integrative care therapists use more interactive interventions including EMDR, mindfulness, somatic therapy, yoga, and music. Through a partnership with us, you will learn a wide variety of options that can help you feel better. You will discuss lifestyle habits (e.g., nutrition, exercise, sleep, stress management, etc.). You will also learn about mind-body techniques. Plus, if you are taking more conventional medications it can be combined with this treatment.
What conditions do our integrative care counselors treat at Bluestone Psychological Services?
- Anxiety/ Panic/ Chronic Worry
- Depression
- PTSD/ Trauma
- Sleep problems
- Chronic stress
- Addiction: Alcohol, Nicotine
- A sluggish energy level/ Lack of vitality

Is integrative therapy care covered by my insurance plan?
Our integrative mental health care therapists* are credentialed with most major insurance carriers. Unfortunately we are not in network for any Medicaid products. *Our Yoga Therapist is not credentialed with insurance. Her services are self-pay only.
Can I supplement my therapy with one of these interventions?
Yes, definitely! In fact, we encourage it. It is a part of our Integrative Mental Health Care. Adding EMDR, yoga, mindfulness or music to your current therapy will broaden the road to healthy, comprehensive mental health care. Talk to your current therapist and let them know you want to add one of our integrative care options.
Are there conditions which integrative care is NOT recommended?
Our integrative care therapists are trained in many different interventions. If you have any of the below symptoms, please consider an expert in this area first:
- Psychosis
- BiPolar Acute
- Eating Disorder
- Borderline Personality Disorder
