Mental and behavioral health can be complicated, so as a licensed mental health professional my goal is to help make the journey more simple. I do this by striving to understand each and every client as “the whole person” and to provide personalized support based upon this foundation. This starts with compassion and active listening, but also embodies evidence-based decision making and interventions (including pharmacological and non-pharmacological) to ensure that treatment plans are tailored, appropriate, effective and properly managed. I am honored to be an advocate for my patients and look forward to helping them live their best lives today and long into the future.
I have professionally trained and worked in the field of psychiatry for many years. In addition to my private practice, I also work at the UW Medicine Adult Autism Clinic as a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner where I specialize in the care of adults with autism, developmental disabilities and various mental health conditions. Previously, I worked as a psychiatric charge nurse at Harborview Hospital’s psychiatric and behavioral inpatient unit in Seattle and as a psychiatric charge nurse at a busy inpatient psychiatric hospital in Southern California. I have a Doctorate of Nursing (DNP) degree from UW, a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, and an Associate’s degree in Nursing.
