Therapeutic Approach

Change can be scary and overwhelming, but it also offers an opportunity to deepen our understanding of ourselves. I work with clients experiencing the wide range of sometimes contradictory emotions that come with life transitions – anxiety, grief, depression, anger, fear, excitement and hope. My approach to therapy is collaborative, strength-based and client-centered. Who you are and where you would like to go is far more important to me than any particular situation or diagnosis that you have been given. My role is to provide support, teach skills, and encourage growth in a safe, non-judgmental environment. Sometimes, this means listening for understanding – your strengths, your preferences, and your patterns. Other times, this means offering a new perspective or challenge to your narrative.

I believe that growth is not linear, and that our greatest leaps happen when we are able to change perspective, shed labels, and gain confidence in our own self-expression. Every story is unique; yet every worry, pain and fear is incredibly normal and exceptionally human. It is my privilege to help you navigate this chapter of your story.
