Our lives can be wonderful, tragic, amazing, challenging and even overwhelming as we go on many journeys and walk on many paths. Difficulties like depression, anxiety, addictions, and trauma can add blocks and pitfalls on our life paths. I would like to help you figure out how to make the journey with balance and empowerment.
I provide counseling, sex therapy, and life enrichment services for adults, couples, and multi-partnered relationships. My office is a safe atmosphere welcoming diversity in culture, sexual orientation, gender, religion, and other factors of individuality.
I approach counseling seeing each client as a unique individual and tailor treatment for them, combining their strengths and my professional training and experience in a manner that will best reach their therapeutic goals. I use a variety of therapy methods including Trauma Recovery, Person-Centered Therapy, Narrative Therapy, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, Motivational Interviewing, and Mindfulness.
Doralissa spent four years of her counseling career (2012-2016) working in community mental health as a case manager, counselor, Supervisor and Internship Manager. This afforded her the opportunity to provide crisis-management, community resources and other forms of counseling support to clients from different social and cultural backgrounds.
