Seeking therapy is a courageous step to take when life isn’t turning out quite like you have envisioned it would. I believe that this decision is one that should be met with unconditional positive regard, compassion, and non-judgmental understanding. I specialize in working with individuals seeking to manage anxiety, depression and other difficult emotions, have more successful and fulfilling relationships, and change harmful or unwanted patterns of behavior. I also work with individuals with significant trauma histories, experiencing grief and loss, and experiencing symptoms of severe mental illness.
I am primarily a Cognitive Behavioral Therapist which means we will look at the lenses and patterns created through your life experiences, both those that are useful and those which no longer serve you. Through our work together, we will explore which lenses and habits you want to maintain, as well as those which you would like to change, and how you want to change them. Our goal will be to honor your unique journey, voice and values in order to create the life you wish to have.
In addition to CBT I use the treatment modalities of Dialectical Behavior Therapy, Motivational Interviewing and Narrative Therapy. I tailor therapeutic interventions to meet clients’ needs and assist them in meeting individual goals. I enjoy getting to know people, listening to their stories, strengths, how they have survived and adapted in a sometimes harsh world. I look forward to partnering with you on your journey, so that you are living your very best life.

I have been working in the behavioral health field since 2003, both as a provider in community based nonprofit organizations and for the State of Washington as a mental and behavioral health therapist for inpatient psychiatric patients, as a hospice Social Worker and providing telehealth therapy to Veteran’s. I have always been passionate about helping others, having a heart for work with individuals with significant mental illness, and those seeking to heal trauma.
I have experience working with individuals of various backgrounds, cultures, beliefs, and socioeconomic status. I am an LGBTQ ally and have over 10 years experience partnering with individuals undergoing a mental health crisis or illness. In my work with hospice, I found a heart for working with individuals facing a terminal diagnosis as well as providing comfort and support to families going through the bereavement process.
